Madwindoman
So I scored a 7800 locally a few months ago. Came with a few games. Most notably Ms Pac and centipede(ms pac is crazy good). Ordered a few hombrews from atariage that just came in this week. Dragons Havoc/Popeye/Pac Man Collection/Super Pac/Star Fire/Ardvark. Go to fire up the console and no power. Super lame. Ordered a new power supply from best. Hopefully that’s the problem
+SmittyB
As well as the power supply (or rather its proprietary connector), a fairly common failure is in the switches used for the console. If you open the case you should be able to try bridging the power switch with a paper clip to see if that kicks it into life. They're fairly standard switches so if you have some soldering experience they shouldn't be tricky to replace.

Madwindoman
Hopefully I can get it running without too much tinkering. That takes away from gameplay time which is limited these days. Please be the power supply. Please be the power supply
+Stephen Moss
If you have access to a multi-meter you could have checked that befoer ordering a new one, if it is not the PSU then you will need a multi-meter to track down the problem the solution to which is likely to reside in one of the many pre-existing posts regarding not powering on/off

However, even if it ends up being another issue I’m ok with having an updated power supply
