Atari 8-bit PAC-MAN, what is wrong with my attack pattern?

I am currently trying to refine my pattern of attack, and I keep hitting hiccups, where the ghosts will randomly decide to take alternate paths.

I have recorded a video, can anyone sufficiently experienced tell me what I can do better?

(p.s. yes, this is High Score enabled PAC-MAN for FujiNet)

I didn't think it was possible to even come up with a pattern that you could reliably repeat in Atari 8-bit Pacman, because as you noted, the ghosts have a randomness to them. To me back in the 80's, that was a pretty huge negative.   In Ms. Pacman sure.. put in the randomness because that's how the arcade was. But in Pacman, what we wanted at the time was to be able come up with patterns like we could in the arcade. Well, at least that's what I wanted. 😜
