Adoom

 

Changes :

- all screen in gr 10 mode - use 9 colors 

- all sprites like enemies, items is converted from doom's wad 

- new drawing procedures in graphics mode

- use Fox dos for loading levels ( this save a lot of memory ex for better textures)

 

What is to do:

- viewfinder or weapon on screen

- transparent enemies and alpha channel

- faster sprite drawing

I am still expanding the 3d engine.

so latest here it is now "scene" based... and has interpolating camera flight... unfortunatly I did not had time to create proper scenes for the party but at the moment the engine supports 256 vertices and 256 faces in a 3d scene...

all in realtime, no fakes... :D

so stay tuned when proper bounding box clipping and 3d clipping is implemented. there is where the fun starts.

 

PS: I was uncreative for writing a proper scrolltext so I let ChatGPT write a text about Silly Venture in max. 768 chars.

Its the same production - SV invite - with some super minor changes; even the whole color scheme is the same; how stuff like that is going to the compo (and our full fledged Unified was bashed for - god forbidden - using more ram).

@MrFish you asked, here it is :)

 

run DRAWSTAR.XEX if you want to watch it all being drawn (don't forget the "X" if using SDX)

 

run DRAWSTARS.XEX (DOS will display it as DRAWSTA1.XEX) with the screens.img in the same folder/drive as the XEX (again use the "X" with SDX)

this one loads the screens from disk and is obviously much quicker.

has some pixel art, non-convex objects, camera movements etc credits artwork, new composed music just to name few... and me likes the color scheme... it is like polish productions in 90s when everything was in 3 shades of one color :D
