Kirk_Johnston
I may have used the search function wrong, but I didn't see this existing for SNES here, and it certainly deserves to. So, here's my Top 10 SNES games to start us: First, the Runners Up/Special Mentions, a few games that didn’t make the Top 10 list but are still some of my favourites on the system: U.N. Squadron Super Punch-Out!! Super Smash T.V. Parodius Earthbound Street Fighter II Super Bomberman 2 Chrono Trigger Zombies Ate My Neighbors Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time And now it’s time for my Top 10 Super Nintendo Games. Let the countdown begin: 10. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 9. Super Metroid 8. Contra III: The Alien Wars 7. Super Mario All-Stars 6. Super Aleste 5. F-Zero 4. Star Fox 3. Street Fighter II Turbo 2. Super Mario World Note: I’m constantly switching between Super Mario World and the current No. 1 game on my list as my favourite SNES game of all time, and it really just depends on the day and the particular mood I’m in. 1. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island All of the titles above are true classics and are genuinely brilliant examples of video gaming at its old-school best. And having such a truly stunning catalogue of amazing games, both first party and third party, is one of the main reasons why I consider the Super Nintendo the all-round most satisfying console I’ve ever owned. Bloodreign
You son of a gun,you knew this one would be hard, as I like a lot of games on the console. This is not a definitive top 10, as that changes often (and includes games others may not find good, but I have a good time with). This is what I currently like right now currently. I have over 200 games for the console, a few stinkers (Super Caesar's Palace for one), and a lot of what I consider good that others may not like(stuff like Super Valis IV). Turtles in Time is one that routinely goes into, and out of my top 10, especially once I crave to play something else I own. Within a week, this top 10 will change again if I post it. 10) Puyo Puyo Tsuu Remix 9) Contra III 8: Zelda A Link to the Past 7) Magical Drop II 6) Super Metroid 5) Yoshi's Island 4) Super Bomberman 3 3) Sandra no Daibouken 2) Gokujou Parodius 1) Arkanoid DOH It Again Edited September 23 by Bloodreign

AtariLeaf
Agreed on Arkanoid. Great port on the Snes. I must confess my own library for the system is quite small. 2 actually - Mr. DO and Arkanoid. 3 if you include the Piko Interactive port Classic Kong. I really need to explore the platform more

And Magic Sword just got that FastROM patch recently too, which is a bonus.
Tanooki
I think we need to look at what @AtariLeaf has there and know he likes arcade stuff. William's Arcade on the system if you look at the developer of the game package said they went back to the original source code and converted it to the SNES, then the visuals within the resolution, and finally made sound samples using the SNES SPC700 of the original arcade board itself and the games are spot on right down to hardware bugs the cabinets have. It's very worth it, and a cheap $10 grab. It's easy to say buy the first party games, buy the konami and capcom franchise games, they're largely a given. There were arcade conversions by them too that would fit the tiny list.
