Inherited. His family is rich. I think he bought Atari with his allowance. But he’s into the brand so I hope they’ll give him some wiggle room.  Although the class warrior in me gets a bit cheesed when dudes like this (born into billions) are described as entrepreneurs.

I knew his father was a business man, and that Wade had worked for his company for a couple of years, but I didn´t know they were that rich. It is not given that Wade inherited the money, but it seems likely.

I’m hoping that, since it’s obviously a passion project for Wade, he’ll be able to do good stuff since he’s basically playing with toys in a toybox. And I’m very glad they got out of the gambling and NFT stuff.

In 2015 the Rosen family was #191 on Forbe's America's Richest Families list.

 

They own Rosen Diversified (RDI) -

If you already look at the tree he has planted at Atari- it has several branches in his relatively short time in control... starting with the roots at Irata to lend Atari money..then a little investment in Antstream, Portal One, Playmaji, acquiring Stern, Ocean NightDive, Moby, Atariage, and probably others I am forgetting...
