Haunted House (Atari 2600 ROM) available free w/code

The code needs to be redeemed through the system Redeem Code setting since there is nothing in the Store to redeem a code against: TRICKORTREAT. From Atari's marketing email distribution today. No end date listed. Is the 2600 ROM.

Yeah, I got the code in their VCS Insider email.  Thanks for posting and keeping us all updated Mockduck!

So it can be launched via an independent icon as opposed to rooting through the vault.  Also, @davpa is conducting a test...😁

Why not? Saves you needing to boot up the Atari Vault and search for it, plus the art tile looks pretty sweet on the VCS home screen right next to the new Haunted House tile lol. From what i understand its a test anyway, to see how many people are actually reading the Atari VCS insider email and redeem the code, that's what was said on Discord and its also letting you know how to redeem codes on the OS. I honestly keep forgetting to check my email for the VCS insider email so if i didn't see this post i probably would have no clue about the free code. Ill need to remember to check each month from now on.

Then doesn't this thread amount to pissing in his data pool?  I literally looked at the email today and missed this.  I already have all the games featured, and even if I didn't, I would already know about them because I check the store once a week or so to see if anything new came out.

Possibly, yes, but it also can work towards ensuring more people receive Atari's marketing emails if there is the possibility of getting more free games in the future.

Having this code relayed in this thread made me get on and grab it, along with buying Haunted House for $15.99 and Days of Doom for $29.99.  This free game cost me some money.

Did this disappear off the store?  Went to add it in, and I only see the new Haunted House game.  Or is there some other place to redeem the code?

I figured it out... it is under System.
