Inty ECS region free?

Hi.Someone knows if the ECS computer module was region free and usable on every system?

My understanding is they are all the same other than the brown ones used the 240v power supply.

But you can use a 120v psu from the USAon the brown 1 too....or a down step convertor.

I havent personally hooked my brown unit up to test this all out though.

There is a difference in the cassette interface timing but otherwise all the ECS peripherals are compatible.

Folks have pretty much covered the differences.

 

As long as you don't use the Tape interface or the Aux interface (for printer), you're fine.  If you try to use them anyways, nothing bad will happen, they just won't work right.
