PIGS IN SPACE is the game today! I forgot there are three different games on this cartridge. Space Invaders clone being the best.

This is no game for kids! It might be a bit more difficult than Space Invaders since there are no bunkers for defense. And I just realized it’s called Chicken Invaders! lol

Thanks to @TheRingBearer for the cartridge sleeves. Makes my loose cartridge collection look great!

Commando 7800 this evening...

Great 7800 arcade port, the 'Pokey' sound lifts the gameplay. The secret areas are so cool to discover.

I love this version for its sound and secret areas too (on the 2600+ you get some unavoidable scrolling flicker inside of them).

Also I kept just two original boxes... Galaga and... Commando 🤗

The animation in this game is some of the best on the console.

Played Open Sesame this evening...

A great pick up and play game if you only have 30 mins or so to spare.

Graphics and sound are pretty basic, gameplay is really addictive thou. Simple controls and difficulty/game select switches are not used

When you reach the cave at the top of the screen, you are rewarded with the treasure and digitised speech "Open Sesame!"

Never saw this one! Not even on emulation. I’ll have to check it out!

Don't be put off by the basic graphics. The game speeds up after the 3rd level and enemies move faster.

I played it for an Hour or so, couldn't stop playing it 👍🏻

Did play it quite a few times when I got it 15 years ago and remember the digitized speech😊

I will clean it and give it a run🤙

For a game no one's heard of, Nexar is quite good too.

On similar lines to tempest. And much better then the 2600 version of that...

Nexar is ver much underrated, I love it🤙

I first had the German clone Galactic (there exists a total different game with same name too...).

Galactic comes with different sprites, no scroll effect by vertical lines but basically it's the same game.

It reminds me rather on Gyruss than tempest. When I started to play Nexar, I new how to play already and it was a blast🤗

HAVE YOU PLAYED ATARI 2600+ TODAY? I HAVE!

MEGA MANIA is todays pick for me.

A pure Activison shooter! I like playing on game select 3. Straight missiles and single shot. For me this seem like more of a challenge but it really comes down to preference. Game select 1 has guided missiles and continues fire.

Try some MANIA today!

Planet Patrol this evening...

An underrated shooter for the 2600, in my opinion. Difficulty switch to A for small ship(Beginner) B large ship(Advanced)

Game select 1: 1 player  2: 2 player and 3 and 4 are easier games for kids

First you have to shoot at enemy wave and try to destroy larger 'drone' missiles for bonus points

Then destroy the 3 missile bases to remove the forcefield to safely fly through

Avoid debris from the explosion of the bases and then you have to land to refuel.

Next destroy a wave of enemies in the dark. You have keep firing to see the way.

Gameplay repeats the stages, thou faster each time.

No one's heard of Nexar?? haha...It's all relative.  The magazines called Nexar basically a version of Tempest so I bought it BITD...Still have it (boxed).  But,  I know what you mean.
