n24005
Asteroids Deluxe Cocktail Arcade has a loud hum. After lots of problem solving, it appears to be related to the pokey chip.. disconnecting pin 37 allows the other 2 non-pokey sounds to play correctly without the hum. I tried a second pokey and still have the hum. All related components have been verified. it seems that the pokey is only outputting 1.6vdc.. from my readings on here, it seems like the pokey should be putting out 5vdc. Is that correct? why would neither pokey be putting out full voltage?? The board has solid 5vdc. What else am I missing?

n24005
Turns out that the slam switch was stuck on! For some reason it is a hum in the cocktail cabinet as opposed to the squeal in cabaret models.
