Which Atari 2600/7800 game would you most want to have playable in future updates... on the 2600+?

For me Personally... Pitfall II and Star Raiders.

Any of the ARM-based games from Champ Games, although I realize that might be a tall order.

Star Raiders and Synthcart. (Both use the keypad controllers. Synthcart needs two at once.) I guess the bonus would be that Atari Basic would work too, I’ve always been a little interested in tracking that cart down.

Then DPC+ games. It is worth nothing that not only Champ Games and other famous developers use that or similar bank switching schemes, batariBasic coders use it too with DPC+ kernel.

Star Raiders! I’m amongst the folk that bought a copy (new, unopened even) based upon the original compatibility list only to find I couldn’t actually play it 🙄

 

Champ Games seems to have done some quality ports and as a fan of Ladybug, I’d get that in a heartbeat if it actually worked.

My list would be BASIC Programming, Brain Games, Hunt & Score, Codebreaker, Star Raiders, Alpha Beam with Ernie, Big Bird's Egg Catch, Oscar's Trash Race, Cookie Monster Munch, and Magicard.

 

And Indy 500.

Hunt & Score, Concentration, would work easy with a joystick! Move an "X" around the screen and pick the square with the fire button!

 

Wish someone would hack the 2600 version to play that way!

Emulator made to run the best (or all) homebrews, all hacks, all originals (flawlessly), made with future-homebrews or potentially new games (like Mr.Run & Jump) in mind, both for the 2600 and 7800.

Yeh, Solaris is an improved version obviously thou Star Raiders is equally as much fun.

It's gotta be Indy 500* as those sweet driving controllers are so much fun to use, and Pitfall 2.  I'm not a huge fan of P2, but it's an iconic release and has many fans. 

 

*Yes Indy 500 does work, but not with the DCs!
