Jasoco
You know. I find it EXTREMELY hard to choose what music I like best from the first 4 Genesis games and Sonic CD. In all honesty, I'm not a complete fan of the SCD music yet. I haven't gotten the game. Maybe once I've heard the music in its surroundings. Sonic Boom really is cool and catchy. I like it better than some of the music Sonic has gotten in his 3D days. Though, Pumpkin Hill is a cool tune from SA2. The Ending Medley's from 1 and 2 are awesome because they merge all the level tunes into one song. I'd love to actually see the credits to see how it happens. 3 and S&K don't have these medleys. Strange. I like how Sonic 3 and S&K have two different songs per level. Well, one song, but the second time it's slightly rearranged. Really. I can't choose. Metropolis from Sonic 2 is great. Casino Zone from Sonic 2. The Save select screen from Sonic 3 is a catchy ditty. In the tune of other selection screens of its time. Carnival Zone makes my brother cringe. It's a great tune like being at a carnival. Ice Cap is really cold sounding. Really cool. I also love Marble Garden Zone. A very cool level with cool music. Now. The Ending tune for Sonic 3 just doesn't sound right. The other two games have medleys with all the tunes merged into one. This one's just the same over and over. Of course, whenever I play the first level in Sonic Adventure 2, I HAVE to sing "Take my lead, I'll set you free... Follow me! Set me free! Trust me and we will escape from the city..." chrisbid
you want some funny tunes, pick up a copy of Sonic R for Saturn. Like Sonic CD, the music is Redbook audio, so you can listen to the music on a regular CD player. It's got that R&B flavor, but the lyrics are incredibly cheesy
Breakpack
Also ,I recommend downloading Sonic 2 beta for a Genesis emulator. The music is slightly different (just hold down A then press Start to access the level menu:check out track 8E...its a slight variation of the end level boss theme...I love that one )Where can I find the ROM for that? Guess I gotta Google. Ugg,I can't find anything on Googling anymore.....newsgroups is my preference, thanks in part to someone on here suggesting a good software prog. called Grabit. Also,I pick the option screen theme on Sonic Spinball. That one was catchy

It's also funny to note that Tails in the Beta only mimics your key, uh, button presses rather than having a delayed reaction and simple AI. And the music in each level is different. Sometimes the same, but slightly different. Also, levels with very hilly areas have really bad collision detection. Sonic will sometimes float in the air. I wish I could play this on an actual Cart. Or, "try" to play. Whatever.

If someone could create a Cart with a slot for a Media card, say SmartMedia, which could then load stuff from the card into memory, you could load a bunch of ROM's into the card and play some of the hard to get or non-existant games that don't exist in solid form. It'd be pretty easy. As soon as someone figured out how to translate the dumped ROM back into actual data for a Genny or Nomad to load. They could even incorporate freeze states and saved stuff as well, maybe accessible by the touch of some buttons on the Cart. Someone make that NOW!!! It'd be a bit different than an "Emulator" like the GP32 in that it'd actually be running Genesis games on a Genesis. They could also incorporate SMS translation into it as well. Maybe Game Gear. But don't go too far. Just whatever the Genesis is actually able to do. I prefer translation back to correct hardware over emulation which isn't always perfect. Am I rambling again? Stream of consciousness....

It's about time someone creates one for a Genesis.

I haven't tried that one yet. Nor have I played Chaotix yet. I need to get that one. Seems every Crackers ROM I download freezes after the A appears on the logo screen. Breakpack
Try out the 32x emu with Knickles Chaotix (I prefer those tunes over the the Sonic Crackers tunes...more polished...)

I can't seem to find any 32X emulators for OS X. I have a Genesis and SMS one. But no 32X. Not even a plug-in.
Raijin Z
Not even a Windows emulator? It's sticky business running an emulator under an emulator under an emulator... but it's hilarious when it works.

It's sticky business running an emulator under an emulator under an emulator... but it's hilarious when it works. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha..... no. I've tried. And had fun doing it. But Windows in VPC is slow enough as it is without having to run a game system. I Had it emulating the Mac OS under Windows under the Mac OS. THAT was fun. Raijin Z
I've had a mac emulator running a gamegear emulator running a Chip8 emulator once. Curiosity value ain't what it used to be. I haven't tried to stack operating systems in a longass time, though. Mac emulators for PC fucking blow. They're either crippled to the point of antifunction, or they eat your hard drive. They're either crippled to the point of antifunction, or they eat your hard drive.Do you mean emulators that run on Windows that let you use the Mac OS? Or the other way around? Either way, they ALL suck. VPC is barely usable and now that Microsoft has bought Connectix and "Bungieized" it, there will never be Windows on Mac again. Fucking piece of shit Bill Fucking Gates.
