Adrian M
Long story short, the CX-40 joystick cables are too short. I'd like to buy a set of extension cords so that I can kick back on my couch without having to move the console. Anyone have a set for sale or can point me in the general direction of a reliable online dealer?
Inky
You could make a couple with the M and F db-9 connectors, and a reasonable length of wire, all obtainable from Radio Outhouse.

True, but I've been extremely busy with work lately, so I'd like to just buy or trade for a set so I can devote my free time to gaming! MrRetroGamer
I'm pretty sure I have a few extra sets of extensions that are still new. Let me check and I'll get back to you later tonight.

Lost Monkey
You could also use readily available Genesis extensions: Genesis extensions on eBay

bjk7382
I found two 10 foot ones off ebay for about 6.00 not too long ago, so ebay is probly your best bet. I have tried the sega ones also they work pretty good. The wires aren't very good in them though.
SteveW
I have a couple Sega extensions that are incredibly handy. One's on my Intellivision II, and the other's on my 7800. Is there an actual non-eBay store where extension cables could be bought? I could probably use more.
SteveW
I picked up a Genesis extension cord at a GameStop tonight. Only $.54.
MrRetroGamer
OK, I have 6 Atari extensions, they are NOS (new old stock) and about 4 1/2 ft long. Anyone who wants a set of 2 for $5 + $1.50 shipping can PM me. I also have a very few Atari 5200 extension cables in 6 and 12 foot lengths, again NOS. The 6 footers are $10 and the 12 footers are $15 each. These are not some Frankensteined cables, these are legitimate extension cables made specifically for the 5200 (but not Atari brand). One cable shipping is $2 (First Class) and two will be Priority at $3.85. These are a little thicker and heavier, so the shipping is a little more. I only have a few of each so first come first served. Paypal is preferred!
SS
You could also use readily available Genesis extensions: Genesis extensions on eBay I'll second. Genesis ones are completely compatible and go for much cheaper prices than ones that are labeled "Atari" in auctions. You should be able to get a few of 'em for $10 or so.
