RodLightning
My favorite is the type I played at J.C. Penny and couldn't afford in the early 80s. It was a light six switch, with Space Invaders cartridge. I got a 2600-A a little over a year later and noticed immediately that it only had four switches on the front, with cheap sliders on the back for difficulty selection. I always wished it had six silver switches like the one in that store display. Over time, I grew to love my four switch model just the same. Today, I have a light sixer 2600 and Space Invaders to go with it. Hurrah.
Brian R.
Four switch woodgrain was always my 2600. That's what my family had when I was a kid. My cousins had a six switch, probably light. I always thought it was weird.

DemonoidTentacle
The Vader is badass, but the 6 switch Woody is all class. I can't decide between the two.
CatPix
I have one light sixer Sears Telegames that I like a lot. Tho I need to AV mod it (being in Europe, finding a TV that accept RF NTSC is hard) so my fav model is my Atari 2600 Jr. Why? Because its a Pal model (instead of SECAM) with original, out-of-the-box, SCART composite output. So it's totally plug'n'play.
Ransom
I prefer the light sixer -- it's what I grew up with. Didn't know that term at the time, of course. I just knew that my friend whose parents had bought him one a couple years before I got mine had one that looked weird, and my friends who got Atari's after me had ones with harder-to-use difficulty switches.
