xenomorpher
Since it doesnt work can Alcohol 120% work? I think last time the preferences were wrong and how should they be? Thanks I'm very pleased with the replies

xenomorpher
well i just burnt it left the settings alone (had to re download trial version) didnt mess with a single thing and it still didnt work. My cds are black like a PSX game disk is the the problem? When I popped it in it made little short beeping noises is that a good sign? Bruce Tomlin
Stop using the black CD-Rs already! Just use the cheapest discs you can find until you get it to work! For all you know, the DC might not be able to read black CD-Rs, in which case you're wasting both time and discs. Seriously. I got me a 100-spindle for 9 bucks on special at Fry's with the intent of using them for DC burns. But I'd done some burns before, so once I got started again, I actually got it to work the first time.
Osbo
lol I use some cheap ass memorex... got like 50 for 15 bucks something like that... maybe u are using CD-RW? I think u can have problems with those cds and DC.. try cheap memorex and see what's up.
Trooper
I must agree with Bruce, stop using those expensive black CD's I too had some problems when I tried to burn DC discs the first time but it's not really hard and especially not now when SBI's are around. Does Discjuggler work with your burner? Here's what I do: 1 Download the SBI for the emu I want to use. 2 Run the Selfboot Inducer and follow the tutorial here up until the black "DOS" screenshot. 3 Put the roms in the correct folder which can be found here 4 Continue the tutorial where you left off and create a discjuggler image 5 Burn the image with Discjuggler Works great for me. The beeping sound you get is probably the VMU being "initialized" if it annoys you then just unplug the VMU. Hope this works for you too. /Troop
xenomorpher
I have had troubles with discjuggler , it just doesnt work right and I downloaded it 4 times. Alcohol 120% gives me no error messages. I'll try and pick up cheap CD-Rs sometimes and see if thats the problem.
xenomorpher
Well I finally got it to work and for some reason I cant get the game genie codes to work. But atleast it works
Trooper
That's just great! Now, which method did the trick? /Troop
xenomorpher
I used different CD-Rs and I used Alcohol 120% and for write method I used RAW DAO and burnt it and spent hours last night playing games and finally figured out the Game Genie. Only a handful of games didnt work so Im going to do another one but with roms from a different site and put as many roms as I can.
Artlover
Don't forget burn speed. For best DC compatabilty, burn slow.
Bruce Tomlin
I've never had a problem burning at 16X (using a Pioneer 4X DVD-RW burner).
Osbo
I'm poor, I'm still using my 4x mitsumi glad you finally got it to work, recomended: Nester and Dcolem (the cdi image with 300 roms)
xenomorpher
I'll keep that in mind. I've been noticing the SNES emulators and Genesis ones at www.dcemulation.com don't say if they have gamegenie or not. Do they? This matters to me since I stink at older games
