JB
The MSX version is horrible, not unlike the Sinclair Spectrum version in many ways, I'd imagine it was done in the UK at the same codeshop that did all the Euro hardware ports. Its not smooth, not silky, not a patch on the A8/5200 game! I just don't think the kinda hardware (in the MSX or Coleco) is good at this kind of display In fact I've not seen any port of the game (aside from the 7800 version) that was any good, the C64 one is pretty godawful IMHO... sTeVE 911656[/snapback] FamiCom one's pretty bad too. The game was really built around the 5200's graphical capabilities, IMO. Most other hardware offers diffrent features, and it has to be kludged to work at all. After all, the 7800 version is superior to the 5200 version in every way.

An SNES could do a nice BallBlazer too, though it'd approach it a totally diffrent way. B. "Higher-res sprites" is not "superior in every way." C. You're a douche. ZylonBane
No, YOU'RE a douche. A double-dog douche. The 7800 version also runs at about double the frame rate of the 5200 version. Okay, so the music and sound effects are identical since the 7800 cart has a POKEY on board.
Spector
JB, that guy has just called you a double-dog douche! Now he's getting REALLY nasty! Are you going to stand for that?

Lord Thag
I love always love a good, logical, fact-filled discussion The thing is, the hardware capabilities of a system are really secondary to the quality of games produced on it. Why do you thing the 2600 is still so popular?
