Lynx Music question

What kind of sound system did the lynx have? I can barely remember it but I do remember some of the games having some good tunes.

 

And how do you go about writing music on the thing? Anyone?

It's based on a sound/wave generator, like in C6' or Atari 8 bits (don't remember).

Official tools from atari were based on Amiga, but they are lost now (maybe still are some lying in big collections, who knows). The best solution to make Lynx music in homebrew is ABCMusic from Karri Kaksonen, you can find more informations and homebrew demo using it (sampo's mini-games, my space Lock demo, but this is a bad example : the music is not good for the moment, ...) in Lynx general forum I think.

The only problem is that Handy have some problems with ABCMusic, but they are fine on real Lynx.

Thanks for the replies, I was just curious because I don't know anything about the lynx other than I had one back in the day.
