thegamezmaster
Hello, I just got an Atari 1050 disk drive, connecting cable and power supply but that's it. I'm not sure how to test or what I need. Any help? Thanks.
+bf2k+
You need to hook it to an 8-bit computer and then put a DOS disk (or another bootable disk) in it. Power the 1050 up first and then power up the computer. Try holding down the option key when you power on the Atari to disable the built-in basic (unless you have a 400 or 800). Nukey Shay
If you don't have a disk to test it with, you can type in a short program to try it with an unformatted disk. Search the forums for NODOS.
