JagFan422
I got Track and Field for $1 at a Game Exchange. I think thats the rarest 2600 game i have. My collection at this time is quantity, instead of quality. I'm not to the point yet that i'm ready to buy 2600 off the net, i still find it fun hunting them in the wild. kisrael
I got some rare games back in the day when I was a kid, generally as gifts, and/or the Colombia Home Arcade club which gave me my first atari (clone)... Spy Hunter, Pengo, DKjr...I had NO idea these games were considered a bit on the rare side.
TheHoboInYourRoom
What rare 2600 games have you found in the wild? How do you define "rare?" Well, in any case, I snagged Submarine Commander and Racquetball today for $1.95 each. Edited April 17, 2006 by TheHoboInYourRoom
Omegamatrix
Man, where do you guys find all these great deals? Track and Field for a $1? Tooth Protectors for $3?? That's highway robbery. My best find in the wild was a Busy Police for $5 CAN. It's worth about $12 USD. My eBay however has lots of scores. As well as horror stories. brendano
The rarest I have is Double Dragon and River Raid II for $3 (canadian) at a Value Village. They are both complete with box and manual so it's pretty good. But I want to find Halloween, that would be sweet.

Crazy Climber
Paid the price for most of them, Found a Beat em double ender for ten bucks (mint), A worn Up n Down for ten bucks, nothing crazy but if I had a dime for every time I've day dreamed about finding a sealed case of Air Raids at my local thrift store I would have $347.65 (To quote the Fatal Run 7800 Santulli Slant, Digital Press Collectors Guide). SteveW
The most rare games i've found are usually between a rarity 4 up to a rarity 6. Mogul Maniac, Artillery Dual/Spike's Peak (for $1!), Lost Luggage (also for $1), that kind of thing. Not really all that impressive.

+FujiSkunk
How do you define "rare?" The AtariAge rarity guide is a good place to start. I would imagine you're welcome to put your own spin on the word, if you'd like. The best I've found at thrift stores are rarity 4's (Spitfire Attack, Squeeze Box, Coleco's Donkey Kong Junior and Pitfall II) and one rarity 5 (Snoopy and the Red Baron). Nice finds, but nothing too terribly exciting. I've also bought some rarity 5's back when they were still available at toy stores or places like Big Lots, but that's another topic.
