+-^CrossBow^-
What blue light? You mean the blue light around the Slot? I have only seen mine lit up when I first turn on the Wii. and even then it is only lit for like a split second and then nothing... Is this tied into the "mingle" feature of the Miis?

Yep, messaging, the miis on parade thing, and eventually multiplayer, like ds friend codes, only with 1 per system rather than per game (at least I believe this to be so...) bretthorror
On the Mii thing, can your friends browse all the Miis you made or what's the deal? That's so cool if so. Edited November 23, 2006 by bretthorror
compacho
I'm thinking your friends can only view your Miis only if you set them to Mingle.

+-^CrossBow^-
This is correct. You have to set your Miis to be able to mingle, and even then I think they only "migrate" to other Wiis that you have friend codes for. Albert, Miis are the little Avatars that you create to represent you..or whatever. Mii is the name that Nintendo has assigned to the Avatars. Second channel in the Wii menu is called "Mii". +-^CrossBow^-
I have my Wii disconnected for the time being. I got concerned about the heat and decided I need to find a way to set it up so it has better airflow around it. For those that haven't seen how I have my setup...take a peak here: http://www.ovge.com/temp/pad/modern_games.jpg And here is a closeup of the systems and my LD player I have setup in this old printer stand.. http://www.ovge.com/temp/pad/modern_closeup.jpg Not much choice for me. I think I will move the PS2 to be ontop of the LD player and that will just leave the saturn and the Wii on the upper shelf by themselves. That should help the heat some for the Wii..ugh.. Sounds like when I get my Wii, I'll hafta make a creative cooling unit >_> ^_^ Anyone know where I can get a screwdriver to open up my Gamecube and Wii when I eventually get it, if it uses the same screws? I want to do some mods ^_^ Edited November 24, 2006 by keilbaca
+-^CrossBow^-
The Wii uses those small Tri-slot screws like the other newer Nintendo units. At least the screws on the Wii's remotes are like this...
