Ransom
Got taken for a ride in Dragster...box, cart...no instructions. D'oh!
Rybags
It was a bit "flaky". Cartridges don't seem to work so well - Ballblazer behaves best, Computer Chess only seems to run if it's oriented a certain way. Others didn't work at all. I guess I'll need to do some work on the cart slot itself. Already pulled the machine apart and gave ICs a prod. It's got Supermon OS and a homebrew type 48K from 16 upgrade, so it's far from stock and has numerous extra bits of wiring going around. Fired it up again after - it seems a lot better now, but still got to sort the cartridge issue.
Atari8guy
Rana Systems 1000 Drive. Think maybe I over paid by about 40 bucks...but that's okay, its cool, it works, CIB. I'm happy.
Ransom
I got a very, very nice Robotron:2084 for the 5200. Complete in box, and darned near mint. Just gorgeous. The controller holder looks like it was never used, as do the cart and the manual. I paid $23.50 shipped, so I probably overpaid, but I feel pretty darned good about it. +Guitarman
The latest save from the computer recycling center. 1 pallet!! $200.00 They are going through the warehouse recycling everything that can't be reused. This pallet of Atari stuff was after going through about 1/8th of the warehouse. I'm sure there will be more to come. 3 1040STf's, 1 1040STe 1 1050 Drive in styro, 1 1050 drive w/ misc items including SF-354 drive 1200XL, 800XL 800 Series system w/ 800, 810, 825 and 410 (410 is alternate version) 800 w/ 1050 800XL in styro, 800XL w/ 1050 800 w/ trashed keyboard (easy fix) SX-212 Modem NIB MegaFile 30, 3 ST monitors Misc software I ended up with a couple of boxes of cables, power supplies and documentation after separating everything. I also recently moved so this is what the garage looks like right now. I finally had the chance to get some shelves up so once I start unpacking all the boxes, I'll have a place to organize everything. This is how bad it really is. This is just 1 box of an uncountable amount of boxes. "This box goes to 11!!" (Spinal Tap humor) In other words, there are 11 Atari computers in this box alone. I need my head examined!! +Guitarman
Where do you find it all? What place is that? It is a place called ComputerCorp. They are a computer recycling center where people or companies can donate their old electronics and computer hardware. Anything newer, they refurbish and get into the hands of needy families that normally couldn't afford a computer system. Everything else is disassembled and sold off for scrap and recycling. My brother works there doing their Ebay/online sales. Anything that comes through Atari, he lets me know. There is a huge loft where they have been storing old computer hardware for a computer museum for years. With the economy, they have decided to go through it all and separate the stuff out that can be sold and scraping the rest. This pallet was from the first wave of loft cleanup, about 1/8 of the loft total area. I can just imagine how much more is up there. I am hoping that a Falcon or TT may show up at some point. At this point there are pallets of Commodore/Amiga, TRS80/Radio Shack, Apple/Mac and a slew of other old systems. +Guitarman
Let me know when you go. He's got my 1200xl buried in there someplace. Don't forget to bring your torches and hayforks! Actually, I made sure your 1200XL was separated from everything before the move. It is in the dining room waiting for a little space to de-yellow. It is still a box invasion around here!! Now, now, how would you feel if you came home and found that someone took all of your treasures? I'm sure if you are desperate you can have his pictures enlarged to posters the size of your garage walls and paste then up. Now THAT'S funny!!!! He does put the other stuff on Ebay. When it comes to the Atari stuff, he wants to continue to be able to watch the San Jose Sharks games on my big screen!!!! sl0re
The latest save from the computer recycling center. 1 pallet!! $200.00 Nice. The megafile uses an adaptec controller supported well by the MIO. You should be able to disconnect / bypass the ST inputs and attach right to it with one and use the drive too (if it still works). And/or sell it to an MIO user having trouble finding a drive. Edited March 20, 2009 by sl0re

sup8pdct
You want instructions for supermon? James Not eBay. Gifted from a friend. Atari 400 with 48K RAM, "real" keyboard and Supermon OS. 810 disk drive, 410 recorder. Computer Chess cart and a few disks, including original 810 Master Diskette II. Seems I don't have any BASIC cart around here though. All the stuff was stored in a 1040ST box in his garage (he gave me the ST a few years ago). I'm tossing up whether to just risk powering stuff up, or pulling it apart and checking it first.
