A childhood favorite takes #13. It was ranked higher, but I realized that nostalgia was propping it up a bit. I replayed a few games and got honest. I still hold that this is a great shooter!
No one, and I mean no one, saw this coming. Heck, to be honest, I didn't see it coming until I started putting the list together and doing some side-by-side comparison.
I stand behind #14, dark horse though it may be.
I love it when a game looks like it's going to be a clunker and turns out to hold a lot of fun and challenge. I passed #18 over for years because it looked like a loser. My mistake.
To the frozen north to combat another Cold War era inspired threat! #19 is another one that took me pleasantly by surprise.
(secret fact, it was originally ranked much lower, but after a few more hours of playing it, I discovered its full potential and moved it up. This is why you never judge a game on its first play)
