It wasn't as expensive as I had feared! I just bought a loose one on eBay for $18. And my video I mentioned in yesterday's blog entry now has well over 2,000 hits. I'm baffled. I thought I'd need some NES games released around the time of my top loader (1994) and I already have The Jungle Book. So I went and bought the NES version of Wario's Woods. This baffles me also. Why bother putting an NES game out for sale at the '94 holiday season? The NES was deader than dead except for Wario's Woods by then. Heck, even Jungle Book was a stretch. So anyway, my computer keeps acting up. It makes loud angry growls when I use my certain video editing software. I did CTRL+ALT+DEL for Windows Task Manager. The CPU was up in the 20-40 range. Right now, Firefox is in the 1-2 range. Why does my computer not like the software I use? This is why I like AtariAge and other low-tech sites. (Oddly, YouTube is in this category!) The CPU can reach as far as 7-20 when I reach certain sites. I don't know why. I looked at the anti-virus software at Target, but they had no prices. I guess a trip to Best Buy is in order to get some. And I am not necessarily thrilled about spending $100 on antivirus software, either. I guess at least it's a good thing I use cash to make non-web payments. I don't have a credit card. And I doubt I'll be getting one after all the hacks to millions of companies.
