Odyssey 2 homebrew labels: A thought.
Looking at all the homebrew Odyssey 2 games I have, I see a theme: They try to recreate the original releases label-wise. I've decided I don't want to do that any more. I want to have really great colorful labels, like most homebrew Atari 2600 games have. I don't want Mr. Celery to be all yellow with black lines against a back background. Celery is green. And I don't want any black backgrounds any more, either. Black to me at least is bland, in terms of Odyssey 2 game labels. It means the game lacks originality, lacks a certain character all its own, at least to me. And I don't want the orange Odyssey 2 logo either. If you're buying a homebrew, you probably already know what system it's meant to be played on (especially if it has a handle on it!) I want a clean, free canvas for an artist to paint his masterpiece on, free of any "it has to be black with yellow lines" rules. This is why the title screen for the celery game is brown. If I had made it black, it would look like not much time was spent doing it. Right now, since it's brown, it has a more "I finished making the title screen" feel to it. Or am I talking nonsense...
