So I said to myself when reading the manual, "I wonder if there's a way to use this thing so two players can use the same controller." It lets you choose the player to be a computer or human. So I just tried it out. As it turns out, two players can actually just use the same controller. I just spent a half-hour getting acclimated to the game and how it works and I must say they did a great job with this game. I played 9-ball against myself for a half-hour. I named myself "CHRIS" and the other player "STUPID". Stupid kicked my butt even though I was the player named Stupid also. Which leads me to a gripe: It should keep track of how many games each player won and lost. Other than that, it's a really fun game. Stupid got the 9-ball in on the break a few times, though, something that I doubt has ever happened on a TV game. ESPN used to show 9-ball billiards games on TV. I guess they didn't get huge ratings because I don't see them any more. Anyway, I'm glad I got this game as it is one of my few favorite Dreamcast games, even though the controls are weird and take some getting used to. In fact, I can't decide which is better, this game or a similar game for the N64 (VR Pool 64).
