The grand opening
I thought to myself, why not try the pliers? So I opened the pliers a fraction of an inch and put it around the screw. I then turned the screw leftwards. Slowly but surely and after a few slips, I had unscrewed the screw and opened the cartridge up! The next step was to put the Everdrive board into the Game Gear. I did that, turned it on, and loaded my game. The graphics are all messed up. I was reading on SMS Power's website when I saw that some Game Gears have a BIOS and check to see if a game is a Game Gear game or a Master System game. Apparently, my game tells the BIOS it is a Master System game and therefore displays wrong, ugly colors. I need to know how to make it display the correct Game Gear colors. I can't seem to find any information anywhere about doing this, so I asked in the SMS Power forums. Oh well, at least the Everdrive works. I know that much. Probably the best $80 I ever spent besides my Harmony cartridge. So I guess my Game Gear does have a BIOS, which is somewhat unusual since my Game Gear is a SEGA one.
