Celery in the toilet
I hate ants. And they keep coming. In my bathroom. In the bathtub. They must come from the drain in the bathtub. Or something. Anyway, I went to Carl's Jr. yesterday and ate a burger. Well, tried to is more like it. This morning I had to go real bad. I swear that stuff makes me sick. And fat. Which is weird because the fries never did. Just the burgers. Anyway, last night before I went to bed, I worked on the Celery game because I couldn't go to sleep. Finally stopped at 9pm and went to sleep. Woke up the next morning and got informed that levels 1, 3 and 6 were jumpy. I realized the reason why: I had been using the same bit of code for those levels. Apparently, it didn't like that and I found out that if I only use the code I had for levels 1 and 3, and then duplicate that code and put in level 6 info in it, it was working okay. I don't know. And then there was the fight between level 6 and me. I won since I realized I put "goto main" instead of changing it to "goto main_level6". The code was still jumpy at that point. Then I had an idea to separate the music handling code so only levels 1-4 were done by one part, and levels 5 and up were done by a different block of code. That made levels 1 & 3 not jumpy anymore. It seems really wasteful to duplicate code, but in this case I had to since it wasn't working right because it pointed to too much info. Anyway, level 6 takes place inside a big toilet. I thought I had thought of a clever name for it last night, but I woke up the next morning and couldn't think of one. And the enemy in the toilet? Ants. Doesn't make sense? Tell that to the ants I find in my toilet. Anyway, level 6 is not done, I still have to rearrange the layout so it's an all new level. I have just reached the point where I think it's all working.
