Jury duty is stupid

So on Friday I got called for jury duty. I have been worrying a lot since then. Especially since it just had to be Friday and not Monday. And I have to get the doctor's excuse in five days after I got the letter, but how does the court know when I got the letter? So I go all the way to the doctors' office after Google telling me it was open only to discover it had been closed on weekends "until further notice." So I have to go back tomorrow. Why go in the first place? The stupid doctors office forced me to have to sign something in order for the records to be released. Because it can't be easy.

I go online to the response and I am filling it out until I get to the part where it asks if I'm available. Of course not. I'm going to get a doctor's excuse. I click no, and then it asks if I want a deferral with no other option besides yes. So I quit the thing. This whole thing is stupid. I've gotten jury duty letters before and the doctor wrote me a note and they excused me. Why do I have to get a doctor's note EVERY SINGLE TIME? Especially when I am not so can not get "better?" EVER. I'll be this way for the rest of my life.

I found and fixed some bugs in my Pineapple game for the Atari 7800. I think it's a lot better now than it was. Most of the bugs were in the two player mode. A few were not and had to do with round timers. So I think I have everything the way I want it to be now.

Do you know what I think? I think they should quit jury duty and just hire professional jurors. That way you don't get 12 laymen who know nothing about law to settle cases. Because that's just stupid.
