Frogs.

I took some time yesterday to put another screen in the game. But now the bank for level 2 stuff is 75% filled and takes about a minute to compile. I couldn't sleep, I ended up going to sleep at about 9 p.m. or so. Woke up at about 10 a.m.

The frog jumps on the ice blocks trying to get Frank. Frank needs to make his way over without touching the frog's tongue. The frog consists of 6 sprites. It could have been three, but I chose SPRITES 8x8 at the beginning because Frank isn't all that big. He's just one 8x8 sprite. So I chose 8x8 for the sprite size instead of 8x16. Fortunately for me, the Game Boy can handle 7 sprites moving independently of each other. If the frog looks familiar, it's because it's the exact same frog I used for the Pokemon Mini version, only I colored it light gray instead of white.

It took a while to get it so the frog doesn't land on the water. When I had that done, I decided I wanted to flip the frog sprite for him going the other direction. So I had to do that all over again so he doesn't land on the water going either way.

I also took some time to make new title screen music. The old music was used for GoSub GB, so, even though it never got published, I decided to make some new title screen music anyway. So now I just need to finish level 2 and move on to level 3. But I'm kind of burnt out programming, so I (I know I say this all the time, but it's true this time) need to stop for a few days and think of some ideas for an icy level. I need about two more ideas and then I'll be done with this level. Perhaps in the meantime, I'll see if I can make the game compile faster.
