The "Mr. Nimrod" mystery.

So I was looking at comics I drew as a kid. I picked up a certain one, a Mad-like comic book. It had 13 pages (a busy kid!) It was dated Fall 1993. Going through its pages, I found a comic called "Mr. Nimrod." Mr. Nimrod was a talking horse. But I don't remember there being a talking horse in 1993 called "Mr. Nimrod." Mr. Nimrod was in a list of people I made fun of on the cover, and is noted with such names as Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Roseanne, etc. So I'm at a total loss as to who Mr. Nimrod was. I googled "Mr. Nimrod" and didn't get very far. Was Mr. Nimrod a pop culture figure, or was it just something made from my imagination? All the rest of the stuff in there I remember: "Go to the (Oregon State) fair and ride the Chair!" Last Action Hero, Jurassic Park, more, but the Mr. Nimrod page is a total mystery. WHO IS MR. NIMROD?????

I got some more Lynx games in the mail. I can't press up. I bought another Lynx. I hope to be able to press Up. I opened my Lynx, saw its insides, closed it back up out of fear of breaking something.

The only Nimrod I can think of is the person whom Edward Elgar dedicated one of the movements in his Enigma Variations too, itself being a mystery. The people behind all the movements have been identified, but supposedly the entire suite is supposed to be a counterpoint with variations on some well known tune, that nobody yet has discovered.
