I submitted my first font to dafont.com
And it took a lot of unneccessary work. It is a dingbats of the shapes of each state in the United States. I had to straighten each state's shape since it wasn't. Then since I wanted it equal kerning (space between letters), I had to pay $99 and download a new edition of Font Creator. Which is stupid and highway robbery if you ask me. But I suppose if I am going to be making fonts, I guess it's necessary.
I put each state in, using 50 of the 52 letters, with lowercase y and z not used for anything. Then after all that, I had to register to dafont.com. After that (they have the stupid "click here for all images containing blah blah blah thing," I wouldn't think they would get that many spammers, but oh well.) I had to make a png of the font in action. And then I submitted. If they accept the font, they'll send me an e-mail. If not, they won't send anything. So then I guess I'll put it on my own site.
I have a problem. I seem to not be tired. It's 7 a.m., but I've been up since 3 p.m. yesterday. I guess I should try to get some sleep. Good night.
