So I was awakened by my stomach acid and its trip into my throat. This was a few hours ago. I tried the usual things: Drinking milk, eating food, anything to try to dissolve the acid. I took a Pepcid AC even though I usually take something like that one a day so I can swallow my food like a normal human and it's been working so good, I forgot I even had a problem with swallowing food. So after the pill, I took a cough drop at mom's suggestion. I wasn't so sure, but I tried it and it helped a little. A few hours later I just took my normal pills I take every day because I wasn't going to go back to sleep any time soon.

Complicating things was the mucus in my throat. While trying to cough to get it out, it hurt my throat due to the acid leaving its mark on my throat. It all came out with a powerful cough/sneeze thing that hurt my throat like heck. I'm still coughing due to this and it's stupid. It's stupid being awakened by a pain at 5 a.m. by a thing you usually take medicine for anyway and you have been for a few years so it really shouldn't happen anyway.
