Don't rain on my parade!

Do you ever have times when you wonder if you will ever be able to go through life without being called a "fat ass"? Don't you just hate it when people who are fat, call YOU a fat ass? Why can't they look in the mirror? It just makes me wonder. Blah. I keep trying to get my weight down and keep running into plateaus. I think I'm becoming a bit too obsessed with it. However, I have relaxed my diet a bit too much the past few weeks and I'd like to ease back into it slowly. EVen if it means cutting out pizza and beer from my diet again.Just a few thoughts.

Its very easy (and common as well) for folks to change their eating habits and lose a bunch of weight, only to turn around and gain it right back.

I think at some point people are like, OK cool, look at me, I feel great, I look good, I can relax a bit ...and then *poof* a couple months of laxing and they are right back where they were.

I guess the trick is to relax once and a while but stick to what you know works for the majority of the month.

Basically just ask yourself, and I happier now, or was I happier a year ago. Let the answer be your guide to whether or not you decide you should relax too much.

I did the same thing. When I finally got it to stick was when i stopped dieting (read starving myself and eating cow food), and slowly changed my eating habits over the course of a year. I *slowly* gave up stuff, and replaced it (that's the key) with healthier food that I also liked. For example, instead of pizza, I'd go get a healthy mexican or italian dish. I'd go get salads that actually tasted good (the kind with meat and cheese in 'em) instead of hamburgers. I started drinking iced tea instead of sodas/ That kind of thing. Hard as hell to do, but after two years, I'm 30 pounds lighter. Keep tryin' man, you'll get there.

I really like being able to wear smaller shirts. I think my efforts to lose weight are finally starting to pay off as well.
