Apparently I've been in a Tetris-y mood lately. First Chetiry, now last night I got The Next Tetris for PS1. It's OK, better than Tetris Plus for the PS1, but Chetiry is pretty good too. Speaking of the 2600, I've been busy working on Explosive Diarrhea again. I got very mad at it last night so I just gave up. This morning I went back to work and fixed problems. I'd like to change it even more, but I'd need help doing so. Also, I found a very nice box for Ikari Warriors for the 2600. I guess it's from the time I got the 2600 Ikari Warriors cartridge. I don't really need it around. That thread about late 2600 releases makes me want to play some more 2600. I think I have most of them except Xenophobe, which I really want.

I picked up The Next Tetris as soon as it was released in 1999/2000, and I was instantly hooked. It's my favorite of the "Atari Interactive" releases during the Hasbro era. I played the PC version for years, but the PlayStation's colors and visuals are more appealing, so I switched to that version after I finally picked up a used PS1. The cascading effect changes the nature of the gameplay and adds an interesting dimension of challenge. It's still one of my favorite Tetris games, along with Tetris: The Absolute - The Grand Master 2 Plus (the most convoluted name I've ever seen, but a great game).
