LYNXGUY
But I also use 98SE which could be making the difference. Sorry I use Windows ME and that could be the problem ?? I did try clicking on WRAP but nothing happened and WRAP wasn't highlighted when I right click on the chat screen
JellE
Hmmm... I have never used ME.. so I don't really know what the differences are. But I will say this... using hyperterm isn't the best solution here. I think (my personal opinion) that you would actually like the DOS prompt version of the telnet better than the hyperterm. I can walk you through that if you would be willing to try it. Otherwise, I have pretty much exhausted all ideas on how to fix the problem you are having. Because I don't get the same "messages" and such that you do. I am sorry I can't be of more help.

LYNXGUY
EUREKA !!!, YAHOO !!!, HOORAY !!!, YIPPEE !!! My scrolling problem has been fixed Believe it or not all I had to do was update my Hyper Terminal to Hyper Terminal 6.3, the one I was using had no version number that I could see but the copyright date was 1997. I took a chance and downloaded 6.3 and installed it then I gave it a try and all is sweet now. Now if I can get the screen blue and find a way to use the Atari Raster font I am all set. HOT KEYS / CODING /clear ===> clear screen !IDLE ===> users list CTRL & L ===> reload screen Is there any others I need to know about ?? LYNXGUY
I decided pop in on the IRC chat a few days ago and when I clicked on Hyper Terminal I saw a screen that said something about update your terminal so I thought why not, can't hurt anything at this point. Now if I can get the screen blue and find a way to use the Atari Raster font it would look like I am typing on an 8bit ATARI Computer. HOT KEYS / CODING /clear ===> clear screen !IDLE ===> users list CTRL & L ===> reload screen Is there any others I need to know about ?? Can I get to it through the Hyper Terminal ?? I am not really sure if it was Kiss... but the one that says something like "It's Saturday... Saturday" or whatever. Anyway... yes you should be able to get to the atarinews.org chat through hyperterm... haven't actually tried it myself though. Probably the same way you do for the IRC chat. Beetle
Yes you can telnet to the www.atarinews.org username: bbs Password: bbs then enter your Username or "new" if that applies. After that follow the instructions. It is a small bbs with a chatroom, too. The chat is its main purpose.
