Just opened up my 1200xl to install the UAV mod (U1MB will be done shortly). Here's my serial number as well as the sticker on the MB:

Time flies and so does the memory.   Sometimes when my Mac slows down and doesn't let me do anything for a bit, I will slide over to my 40 year old Atari, turn it on and play a game for a bit. So much for progress. Curses to Apple for making a non-memory-upgradeable iMac.

Just a PSA. I had an older iMac that was running slow. I added an external USB3 ssd as the boot drive and it flows now.

Here is mine... I picked it up from a Facebook marketplace listing a year or so back... It was the first time I ended up with a non-working Atari (and got my 2nd FB marketplace dud, an 800XL, last month!)

 

When powered up, the LED comes on, but that is all. No picture or sound.

 

I'm hoping I can get it working again, as the 1200XL case style is the best!

I bought another 1200XL on eBay for $150. Computer has good picture with composite video. Keyboard doesn't work. I suspect that a good cleaning will have everything working. I will connect the chroma, add 5V to the SIO, and probably do a Super Video 2.1 upgrade, and the 800XL conversion.

Up next, my AtariMax 256k Rambo w/Ape 32 in 1 (has some issues, but I love it anyway)

Actually got it personally from Steve Tucker himself!  Met up in a little Starbucks since we live in the same area!  Great guy.

 

 

It is also the only one that had a revision sticker...

 

 

And finally, my daily driver.....

 

The MB on this was absolutely pristine, and it was nothing to put in the U1MB since it already had the right sized rom sockets (with the jumpers suitably set) along with the clear pic and +5v SIO Mod.

I added a Sophia too.

One of the 4051's had failed. Mylar had been restored but since the 4051 was not working the keyboard was unresponsive except for the primary function keys above '6' key.

 

 

Clean now but has some scars of war. Was used a lot with the stock OS (ugh).

interesting how the mobo was dated a week after the serial sticker.  That sort of implies it was swapped out or a mistake in the serial printing or they just used whatever whenever.

 

I also added the promovision.  There is another one here at AA as well, so that's two on the list now.
