MADrigal
After 2 months of hard work, the MULTICART is almost ready to enter the "production" phase. All prorotypes we built work 100%, the graphics layout is ready, the moulding factory is currently producing the first samples for the plastic box... and we hope we'll be ready to ship the carts on July 30th, 2007 (maybe even earlier!). We're accepting pre-orders now. This is something about creatiVision MULTICART * numbered edition to 100 copies only * features all existing games and programs in a 8 MBit EPROM-based cart * full colour cardboard box with cardboard cartridge holder * cart with true plastic box, specially made to be compatible with all creatiVision models * 12-page manual with the same look as the classic manuals! * 6 cardboard joystick overlays for use with the included games and software * scheduled release is July 30th, 2007 * price is EUR 42.95 (equals to US$ 57.95) Useful links: http://www.madrigaldesign.it/creativemu (Main site) http://www.madrigaldesign.it/creativemu/multicart.php (Multicart info and pre-order form) Edited June 6, 2007 by MADrigal

MADrigal
Not knowing creatiVision is a problem with American guys, since the system never shipped in the USA, but was sold in Hong Kong, Europe, Australia, South Africa and Japan only. It's as powerful as a ColecoVision (except the CPU which is a 2MHz 6502 instead of a Z80) and, AFAIK, it shipped even before it. It was engineered in 1981 and hit the markets in early 1982. By the way I wouldn't suggest the wikipedia creatiVision page, since it's very poor of informations. I suggest you to look at my "History" page, with tons of infos and unreleased picturs/documents: http://www.madrigaldesign.it/creativemu/tech.php You can also try the newest FunnyMu emulator, which I released 2 days ago (it's for Windows and comes out with a nice interface with screenshots and games infos). Get it from the downloads page, as well as ROMs: http://www.madrigaldesign.it/creativemu/download.php Have fun Edited June 8, 2007 by MADrigal

MADrigal
we're almost done... around 2 weeks more, and we'll be ready to ship carts! ...and *maybe* we'll be adding another revision of the BASIC ROM, making the multicart include 26 ROMS, not 25! MADrigal
Confirmed! Multicart will also include the obscure BASIC 1982 R2!!! Read this: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=110061

mos6507
That's the first time I've ever seen one of these things. The way the keypads become a keyboard is pretty slick!
MADrigal
That's the first time I've ever seen one of these things. The way the keypads become a keyboard is pretty slick! Yes it's very very nice. The joystick-based membrane keyboard could be "upgraded" to a full rubber key keyboard. All you had to do was: remove joystick wires, put the keyboard in, and then connect the joysticks to the new keyboard. Very smart! You can view all pictures of keyboard and console. Download the "pictures ZIP archive" for console and keyboard, from http://www.madrigaldesign.it/creativemu/releases.php

lucifershalo
wow, great Luca the system is obscure but quite interesting and with the multicart it is cheaper to discover it I saw a boxed console for sale on ebay recently
