+bf2k+
Does anyone have a SpartaDOS Ramdisk driver that works with the Mega-Hz 512K upgrade? I just installed this upgrade and RD.COM works but it doesn't see the entire ramdisk... just 256k. Thanks.

+bf2k+
Hi, you can switch 4 modes.... 1. 512k Rambo 2. 256k Rambo 3. 256k Compyshop 4. off Test your system with XRAM 0.21.0 http://satantronic.atari.sk/?str=xe_utils If you look on the board you can find my name Bernd Yes.. I saw your name! I didn't hook up the switches so it is in 512k mode. XRAM checks all 512k fine so I am 99% sure it works fine. SpartaDOS 3.2g RD.COM formats it to 256k and ID's it as a 320K XE (it is a 512k XL). It works fine. RealDOS 1 b24 formats it as a 512k but the screen goes wild when you try to access the ramdisk. IF I try to copy a list of files (*.*) to it, it will get about halfway and abort. (it doesn't do this with SpartaDOS). Also I have not soldered the battery to it yet. BigBen
Sorry but I don´t use SpartaDos or RealDOS. It look´s like an error of the ramdisk driver. The only one I think is to switch the mode on 256K Rambo or 256k CompyShop. After than make a new test with the ramdisk. Normaly the old driver was written for 256k Ram extensions. Here a picture of th PCB. To change the mode you must connect two switches between GND -> S1 and GND -> S2. Many greetings, Bernd

BigBen
MyDos 4.53 in combination with TomsNavigator 1.22. Change the DUP.SYS for TomsNav.... and it´s feel like the old Norton Commander. Easy to use. To switch the Folder press ESC. Here a 16MB ATR-File.... +CharlieChaplin
Well, Bewe-DOS is compatible with Sparta !! Just use the Ramdisk driver from Bewe under Sparta and it will work !! I always use the Bewe-DOS Ramdisk driver under Sparta without any problems... the Bewe-DOS RD-driver will find up to 1024 kbytes in any XE-compatible bank configuration... (ok, not MIO Ramdisk)... -Andreas Koch.
