the.golden.ax
I'd love to come when I get my Jaguar Kiosk. The issue with that is, I don't personally know Mr.Velting. Any of you? In his listing he stipulated that I should pick up within 30 days of winning with a $50 immediate deposit. I made the deposit and told him it may be more than 30 days prior to my win. He was cool with that so long as I paid the $750 via cashiers check, then he would hold it until he was back from a trip he was leaving for on the 13th. I do not know the length of his trip, nor do I know if I paid the $750 without being there to get it, if I can trust that I will still be able to claim my prize when I want it (not saying anything negative about him, just voicing my fear as I don't know him). I'm not sure if this meet up could be done in the next 10 days or not. Anyone know this guy, William, or Bill. He seems like a nice guy and a big time collector in MI. Chris Leach
Don't know em Ax, but from personal experience anyone with arcades who isnt a collector in Michigan is just a previous Arcade business man that has left over machines that are not makin money anymore and they want them gone. Be careful if he says he is gonna hold the machine with money up front if you have never dealt with em before. Not that he is bad, but as of recent I have learned that some people stipulate an "I don't hold policy" even before an I dont hold policy has been stated..... the.golden.ax
Anytime from today to the 12th works for me although highly unlikely that everyone would make these plans only a week in advance. AX

SignOfZeta
OK, I'm reading this thread again! The weekend of the 20th looks good, so lets just say that's when it is. Its possible (hoping) that I'll have a different job by then and might have to work that day, this probably won't happen by the 20th. My house has shitloads of space, but currently I have a poor TV selection. I have a small CRT and a big CRT as these are good for old systems. I have no LCDs and while we just got a Wii last week my most recent system before that was the Cube, and before that the DC. Therefore if you want to play anything 21st century you will have to bring it yourself and it might be a good idea to bring the display too! I do have a few hundred games, but they are mostly for PC Engine, Saturn, Dreamcast, and handhelds (Swan, Neo Pocket, GBA, DS). As for what we are doing before we go to my house, that's up to you guys. We could all meet at Pete's again. I we want to do the Pizza House thing, or some other restaurant, that's fine too. We could also have food delivered or whatever. Last time four of the tri-cities people stayed at my place, they can do so again. Anyone else who was at the last meeting is welcome to stay overnight if they need to, but they'll be sleeping on an air mattress.
aftermac
The 20th sounds good to me. We could all meet at Pete's again and do that for a few hours, then figure out what we are doing for food. Zeta, do you have older systems from the 80's too? I'd like to get some 4-player Warlords/Medieval Mayhem going this time. Bomberman would be fun to get going again too! Bomberman would be fun to get going again too! I have a Master System that I basically never play, and a "Handy Fami8" which is a really unique Famiclone. I have two or three FC carts for that. My collection really starts with PC Engine. I'm a huge Bomberman fan though. I have the two best games (Bomberman '94, and Bomberman SS) and lots of controllers. I'm not sure how many PCE pads I have, but I have enough Saturn controllers and multi-taps to do 8 player Bomberman SS. Yeah, there is 10 player mode, but 8 is best, IMO. Speaking of multi-player Saturn stuff, I also have Death Tank Zwei, which is pretty much the business. JBoy and Dalum know how long sessions of Death Tank can last. If anyone else is interested in playing, I could bring a 2600, Medieval Mayhem, and a couple sets of paddles, too. I'll have to test my paddles to see how jittery they are, though. SignOfZeta
Also, I neglected to mention I have two other TVs that are rather crappy and old. They aren't period correct for 2600 play (I think they were made in the 90s) but they are large and round compared to newer stuff. I wouldn't mind playing some Combat or Warlords on these junkers. I wish I had a wood paneled b/w screen to be as authentic as possible...rotary dials...fine tune knobs...RF connection via two screws...little dot in the middle of the screen 10 minutes after shutting it off... But maybe next year or so. Hey I'm down in Flat Rock. I guess there are more Downriver Atari fans then I thought. All us Downriver folks will have to hook up sometime. One thing I've been dying to do is start some sort of regular game night, like Sonic R does. I never tried because I didn't think there were enough people close enough to make it work, but you're the fourth person I know of down here.
