JayWI
Neo Geo AES ------------- Samurai Shodown 3 - 25 minutes The very fact you can play Neo Geo fills me with jealousy. I've been dreaming about owning that system since I first saw an ad for the $200 games in EGM. +1 just for the fact you have a Neo Geo.

That game is only surpassed in terribleness by Raid 2020. Ugh. Kris Snyder
7800 - Crossbow: 28 min. Always wanted the play the arcade game, but never got around to doing it. So here I am, playing Crossbow for the very first time... with my brand-new Best Electronics lightgun! Ah, heaven... I know that the smart-alec answer to this question is, "Because the companies responsible are no longer in business" - but still! Why don't they make games like this anymore?

I've been playing a bunch of Bloons TD on my iPod. I'm normally not a big fan of the tower defense games but my kids got me hooked on this one.
Ransom
That's a fun game but, yeah, not quite classic (tho it could be done on a classic platform for sure...). What I played this afternoon: Atari 5200 Countermeasure: 20 minutes (Finally won one! Never really understood it before playing Fail Safe.) Intellivision Lock 'N' Chase: 10 minutes AD&D: 15 minutes

+thegoldenband
Times for Monday - Friday: SNES: Lord of the Rings, Vol. 1 - 30 min. Intellivision: 4-Tris - 10 min. Blockade Runner - 41 min. Burgertime - 12 min. Chess - 84 min. Dracula - 5 min. Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack - 4 min. Same Game & Robots - 7 min. Skiing - 2 min. Sharp Shot - 3 min. Space Patrol (teaser edition) - 3 min. Stonix - 3 min. Tropical Trouble - 5 min. Very brief notes on the above: Blockade Runner - I'm starting to figure this game out, but I still don't really understand how I'm supposed to reliably avoid the asteroids, short of simply holding left (or right, or whatever) which the manual suggests I shouldn't be doing. But if I return to center, to pick up an item or destroy a mine, I get whaled on. I haven't successfully blown up any enemy ships yet either. Still, I made it to within 2000 km of the destination for the first time. Chess - This includes victories on Levels 1, 2, and 3, all with the White pieces. Level 3 offered some challenge, and Level 1 wasn't too bad. The computer committed a strange sort of suicide on Level 2, throwing away piece after piece in a position where checkmate wasn't imminent. 4-Tris and Space Patrol - Great stuff! I hope copies become available again soon, especially Space Patrol since I don't believe the completed ROM circulates, but only this "teaser edition". StanJr
Tunnel Runner (VCS): 15 mins. New personal high score for me! Beat 6 year record. Blueprint (VCS): 15 mins. New personal high score for me! Beat 4 year record. Mountain King (VCS): 20 mins. King's Knight (NES): 20 mins. 1942 (NES): 20 mins. Played these two NES games more, both are pretty solid, but 1942 is really slow.

JayWI
TurboGrafx 16 Bonk's Adventure - 42 minutes Legendary Axe - 30 minutes NES Fester's Quest - 12 minutes Bible Adventures - 30 minutes Mike Tyson's Punch Out - 30 minutes After playing Fester's Quest and Bible Adventures, I really needed to throw in Punch Out to get a taste of what a real fun game is. I quit after fighting Bald Bull the second time and getting my butt handed to me. I know it's timing and I can usually get him but tonight it was the first bull charge only. After that he owned me. Legendary Axe is more difficult than I expected. I can get past the first stage but I usually have to use a continue on it. For some reason the boss (the two bears) give me trouble the first couple of tries. I suppose I just gotta play it a bit more to get to know the fight.
