The collision detection is a bit off and the scrolling is choppy. It's too bad because it's a great arcade shooter. And the background color should always be blue. I was in the 1940s level and shot the required 20 planes, but the red plane never appeared so I couldn't advance to the next level. It never did appear for any of my remaining lives...weird!!! This port should have been so much better It suffers from all those factors mentioned(in patbb's post) albeit unnecessarily. It seems harder than the arcade because we're starting on Skill level 2, instead of the natural progression through level 1. I am considering adjusting the +1 bonus point eligibility from having to achieve the "final" medal to just the first medal due to the sheer difficulty of Skill 2. Besides, I think bonus points in HSCs are bogus. In some instances, people are given bonus points that have nothing to do with their ability to play the game. We'll leave the challenge as a +1 for the "final" medal only. Having struggled with this game on Skill 2 I wasn't even sure if the final medal was achievable. ed1475 has proven me wrong so the challenge seems to be quite valid as-is.
