Thomas Jentzsch
What happens to the name of this release, since Williamson is also releasing a Star Castle? How about "Ring War" which was the working title for Star Castle at Cinematronics. Ttocs' Revenge

iesposta
Names I propose: 1. Star Castle 2. Star Castle 2600 3. Star Castle VCS (or is VCS like IBM? The business machine co, not the intercontinental ballistic missile) 3. See #1. Also _don't sell them_. For a donation to AtariAge, you get a free Melody Board... +LS650
I don't think anyone's going to confuse the two different releases; in fact I suspect a lot of posters here will get a copy of both so they can compare the two.

This. I see nothing wrong with calling it Star Castle. It *is* Star Castle after all, and I think that history will delineate them versions by programmer rather by game name.

+Nathan Strum
does someone know the main differences between cd-ws version and the other one? which one seems to be the best one? You can download and play Chris' to see how his works. For the other, you'll just have to rely on , since only a handful of people have ever played it. That said, I can tell you Chris is making every effort to make his version as close to the arcade game as possible. You can check out his progress in his blog to see the game's development. lapetino
I think this game is looking great. Great work, Chris and all. But I'm getting pretty tired of people who aren't able to praise this version without backhandedly bashing the other. Come on. There is room for more than one approach to the game and getting it out into the world. It's all good for the hobby and the life of our beloved 2600. If you don't want to buy Scott's, fine, but you don't need to keep commenting on it. Move along, move along.

I don't think anybody has criticized Scott's game. Actually that would be quite impossible (and unfair) by now, since AFAIK nobody has been able to play it yet.
