I waited till Dec 10 to ship, not because of procrastination, but so that it wouldn't arrive too early before Christmas. :) I'm afraid I may have messed up if we were supposed to remain anonymous. I put my name/address on the package because I was afraid this post office wouldn't send it without that info. After seeing some of these posts, I realized I forgot to include candy... Oops! I'll have to make up for it. ;)

The post office will happily send a package without a return address, but if there is any trouble with the package reaching its destination, they will just as happily dump it in the dead letter file.

What I do is include my address but not my name. Sure, anyone who has had business with me before might recognize the address, but I figure that's a good compromise between staying anonymous and risking the package getting lost in the ether.

Of course, now that I've revealed my little trick, my victim recipient just might know who I am now. And I know he got the package, since he's already posted back here. So I'll just say one thing more: You're welcome, and I hope you made sure to look through the whole box! :)

After a fairly long-feeling week I decided that its close enough to Christmas to open my package...

My 'secret' santa (thanks, you-know-who you-are!) pretty much nailed all of my requests. I love the rainbow of 5.25" floppies. I've seen lots of colored 3.5" disks and have a few used red 5.25", but these are new and the colors are new-to-me.

Dark chocolate needs no explanation ;-).

Oh, and the socks may seem like a boring gift, but its winter and having warm feet is important.

I'm also glad to see by DC# that my gift has been delivered.

You still haven't posted those pics yet! :D

It has been a looooong work week...tomorrow for sure! Everything is still in the box, so I will take care of that. I just don't have the energy to hook up the camera to the computer at this point in the morning.

On the HP Media Smart PC I used to have, it had a built in SD card reader. I'd just pop out the SD card out of the digital camera and pop it into the PC. Now I have to connect the camera to my laptop. ;) I need to get on Newegg and buy one of those $5 card readers. I guess some cameras have built in wi-fi, so you could set it up to sync with your network automatically. That'd be cool.

My SS box arrived today! I got some Hershey's miniatures (om nom nom), a BluRay movie, and a METRIC TON of DC comics from the 1980s! Now, on this last part, I have to extend my SS a very humble thank you. From my wishlist, it was obvious that I'm a comic book fan... but it took a lot of thoughtful consideration to realize that I'm partial to DC and my favorite era to collect is the 1980s. My secret Santa possesses either a very generous spirit or had a remarkably lucky guess. Thank you so very much! I have no idea who you are, but if you'd like to give me a nod, I'd appreciate thanking you properly.
