In old-school IRC chat (and some forums), moderators were said to "hit you with the ban hammer" if you got out of line. In the Intellivision community, whenever a thread goes into some weird or uncomfortable place (like this one is sort of doing), someone would invariably just mention bacon in order to diffuse it and change the subject. -dZ.
