I was there on Friday, but had to leave Saturday morning for something unexpected. Met some cool people there, especially neotokeo2001! Very cool person.

Unfortunately I missed TrekMD and Michael Thomasson. :( I'll see you guys soon!

Well, I got back from FreePlay Florida! The event was really cool and I spent most of yesterday playing all sorts of pinball tables and video games. Sorry to have missed you, Bob. I didn't arrive until quite late on Friday and, by the time I went in on Saturday, you'd already left. :(

Here is a list some of the games I enjoyed while at the event:

Pinball - Avatar, STTNG, Game oo Thrones, Flash Gordon, Transformers, Star Wars, Full Throttle, Big Juicy Melons, Independence Day, Demolition Man, Judge Dredd, 300, & Fire.

Arcade - Tutakham, Pac-Man, Circus Charlie, Wizard of Wor, Berzerk, Mr. Do, Gyruss, Blasteroids, Major Havoc, Pac-Mania, and Gauntlet II.

Console - Mr. Do! & Donkey Kong (for ColecoVision)

I've made an online album with pictures. I got to meet Gary Stern, from Stern Pinball and got a picture with him (last one in the album. You can check my pictures of the event here: FreePlay Florida 2015

I had a great time at Free Play Florida! It was great meeting some people from AtariAge. pr0k, TrekMD, PacManPlus, NightSprinter and several more. Fat Albert and the other games were a big success. Big thanks to pr0k for setting me up. My family could not believe other people had an interest in the Atari 2600. I have over 700 pictures that I took that I will be posting on my FaceBook page. I will post some on here when I get a chance.

Bob, I missed out on seeing your Atari 7800 double-ender games. When I had a chance to get to the console room there was a lonely empty Atari 7800.

neotokeo2001: what camera and settings did you use? Mine for the most part turned out to be total garbage (despite dialing in the right focus on this old EOS Rebel). Also, sorry for missing just about everyone that went to the event. I was only able to go Friday.

Convention lighting is horrible and washes everything out. I put my camera on the sports setting where if you hold down the button it takes multiple pictures. I took over 900 pictures with about half being worth keeping. Nikon Coolpix L620. Typical small digital camera.

Here are all the acceptable pictures. It should be set for public on FaceBook.

Neotokeo2001 pretty much covered everything. I added a picture of me in the Night Driver sit-down and an MSX computer (first time I had ever played one). I had a great time. I went with a buddy and his son (my daughter may go next time after seeing all the pictures ;-). There was a nice balance of arcade machines, pinball, and consoles. The pre-crash consoles were a little sparse. The Vectrex was up and running, but the Colecovision looked pretty bad on the monitor it was hooked up to and the Atari 7800 didn't have controllers or games (this was all day Saturday). But, the console room itself was fun and it always seemed to have people. It was nice to have NeoGames there, it really added a classic console element to the event.
