bikeguychicago
As reported by Intellivision Productions on Facebook this morning, the last existing copies of Intellivision Rocks for Windows (and OS 9 Macs) are now available for sale. For those who don't already have the collection, the disc includes some of the rarer and unreleased Mattel games and several games from third-party developers Activision and Imagic. Also included are histories of the included games. This disc is also a great resource for those looking to legally obtain ROM images of Intellivision games for play on multi-carts or Intellivision emulators. With this, and the Intellivision Lives discs, one can play around 75% of all games that were released for the system. I highly recommend you pick up this disc if you don't already have it while they are still available.
jaybird3rd
I figured their stock would be running low, so I bought an additional copy late last year. It's a great collection, especially for those who own a CC3 and are looking for a legitimate source of ROMs.

Rev
I hope you guys delete all of your non legit roms before you get caught by the ROM police. Then when you get your CD, you can FINALLY sleep well at night knowing you finally went legit! Just sayin' Edited January 16, 2014 by revolutionika
voltron
I got two copies back in 2012.
+save2600
Darn, got all excited when I read the topic heading. Thought someone came up with an Asteroids clone and called it Rocks.
+Rick Reynolds
Agree 100% with the OP - grab a copy of this if you don't have one!
bikeguychicago
A warning for those 3 people who use Windows Vista, this compilation will NOT run on your machine. Sorry.
+SoulBuster
I picked one up a few months ago, and prowled ebay for Intellivision Lives at a decent price. Finally got one last October for $40, including shipping. Not too much over the original price.
SoulBlazer
Will this run on Windows 7?
jaybird3rd
Will this run on Windows 7? Yes, according to their Web site.
catsfolly
I believe Keith's license to use the Activision and Imagic Intellivision software has expired. If this is true, then this may be the last chance to pick up these games legally (at least until a new agreement is worked out...)
mckafka99
And in case anyone was wondering, the intv files (rom files) from the disk will work in MESS on WIndows 8.
+nanochess
BTW, I've received the Paypal email noting what I've ordered. Do anyone knows if I'll receive another email when shipped? Edited January 17, 2014 by nanochess
+JasonlikesINTV
I think I already have a copy of this. Is the only thing still for sale the "Rocks" disc? I think I have the 3 pack that they sold at the CGE some years back. I didn't go....eBay is my friend. I also have those nifty playing cards. Might pick up another set, though. boxpressed
Are "Lives" and "Rocks" the only ones with the ROMs?
+JasonlikesINTV
I think the 3rd in my set is an audio album. I think it has that crazy "I want my Intellivision" song on it.
bikeguychicago
I think there was also a 20th anniversary collection release for the PC but the amount of games on that disc was much less than either Rocks or Lives.
+JasonlikesINTV
I'll have to post pics of my compilations. Maybe Sunday.
jaybird3rd
There was going to be another PC compilation released, combining the Intellivision Rocks! content that Intellivision Productions owns (excluding the Activision and Imagic games) with the Intellivision Lives! content, and with an updated user interface, but those plans apparently fell by the wayside. I think they shifted their efforts to mobile devices, like everyone else.
+JasonlikesINTV
Here are most of my retro game compilation discs. Not pictured is my recently acquired Pal version of Intellivision Lives for PS2. (PS1, PS2, Gamecube, DS, and 20th anniversary are all factory sealed)
dcasa
BTW, I've received the Paypal email noting what I've ordered. Do anyone knows if I'll receive another email when shipped? Probably, I just received a shipping notification directly from USPS.
