MyIDE II and Ultimate 2K14 Lotharek

In private conversation I already asked you to swap power supply and on march 6th you responded you did that with no luck (same issue)

What makes you think that it will cure your problem this time?

You are right. We excluded this possibility, because I already swapped the PS.

That is, why I sent flashjazzcat everything BUT the PS.

No doubt, the flashing of the Ultimate went wrong. Maybe because a faulty power supply.

Although I changed it - maybe changed it with one with the same problem?

I don't know. I just have no other idea.

Well, flashjazzcat made it running again by (re)flashing the Ultimate.

I will build a "new" PS with a meanwell switched-mode power supply.

Double checking it with a Ozziscope. Let's see what happens then.

Whatever, I'd like to say thank you and flashjazzcat for the help and endurance.

Maybe this story is " to be continued" ... but I'll let you know !

Hello again,

just to keep you up to date ;)

I got a Power Supply normally used for a USB 3.0 Hub.

5.0 Volts, 2.5 Amps. Changed the plug - last check -

plugged it in...

It works !!!

Played the Numen Demo, started AtariWriter from

a partition of the MyIde II, played games from the Sio2SD

or from the image menu of the MyIde II.

Flashjazzcat:

The MyDosBios is the "older one" ?

The last (lowest) entry (Sidexxxthing)

is red. But I can bypass it, by

"starting the cartridge" and enter the

FatLoader.

No problem at all - just wondering.

You did a great job!!!

Thank you !!!

(I'll test the whole process, if I'm with

the atari boys on the classic-computing'14

just to be able to catch at a straw - in the worst

case)

Greetings

Stefan

I think I used the MYBIOS that ProWizard recommended to us for the job. The rest I have no idea about: when I set up your machine, it was the first (and probably last) time I used MYBIOS.

Anyway - glad things are working for you Stefan. :)

Dear prowizzard,

Today I followed your step by step

Manual. After playing around with different

Beta versions, it was neccesary to switch back.

Everything was fine. Did it without any probs.

It probably was the powersupply that made things going wrong

first time. Maybe the very first flash made the

problems, occured much later?

Whatever... Is it possible to set a "conclusion" at the beginning of the thread

and close it?

It was a bit confusing today to crawl through...

just in case, somebody is interested / has the same problems

Stefan
