+cvga
When all else fails, read the instructions Looks like you can take 10 hits to the outer shell and need to be on the next innermost layer when the 10th hit occurs or the game ends. I didn't know that!

gamerguy99
my dad says don't expect Atari to play fair, and i don't but what i want it to do is to actually like a game and not like a horrible movie that the character doesn't move and the walls break down because the bad guys are ghost and blasts go right through them. 42,812
DT Kofoed
Well, here's photos of me rolling the level counter, at least [photography courtesy of Rainbow Kitty, that's why its a tad crooked and blurry ]. Apparently I don't have the photo of my final rolled score... but at this point in the game, I had almost 40 ships and about 20 bombs in reserve, with the difficulty set back to start, so we all how how it 'went down' [up] from there! But, I have to show something, right? And at least I have these.
Scrabbler15
Defender - 69,900 I love the stories of a player not caring for a game at first, but after giving it a good go, taking a liking to it. This is not one of those stories. If we play this again in The New HSC Season 12, I think I'm busy that week. .

+cvga
I sucked at that wall defender game. I don't even remember the score but I got. so I'll take the score of 1 Hey, we tied! I went back and read the instructions for Defender. I didn't know you can hyperspace! I know most people won't agree, but I actually like this game much more than I did as a kid. The instructions were also interesting because they go out of their way to explain what is different from the coin-op. I was particularly intrigued by this paragraph... The game differences are mostly minor and technical. We feel sure that they will not detract from the fun you will have with this exciting and popular ATARI game. Do any other instruction manuals go out of their way to explain the differences from their coin-op and ensure you that you'll have a good time?
