The Japanese tech giant is working with a financial adviser on the potential offer for Leyou, said the people, asking not to be identified because the matter is private. In May, the Chinese gaming firm confirmed it had received a non-binding takeover offer from Shenzhen-listed rival Zhejiang Century Huatong Group Co., after months of buyout talks with other bidders including iDreamSky Technology Holdings Ltd. Steven Pendleton Posted July 4, 2020 Share Posted July 4, 2020 Well, this is certainly interesting! I wonder what would result from Sony acquiring SNK. No more ACA NEOGEO on Switch, Xbox, and PC, I imagine, but maybe they'd at least keep the games that they've already released available and any future releases would be PlayStation exclusives. Just speculation, though. I'd like to see Sony (or anyone, for that matter) maybe build an actual new Neo Geo that actually plays real games rather than emulating them. Original Neo Geo games, including original Neo Geo carts, and/or new games that haven't been made yet would both be great.
