+MacRorie
Yeap, You read the correctly. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 321773775933 Not sure what is more mind boggling, the price or the fact that AFTER $10,000 you are still expected to pay shipping! -M
Omega-TI
It looks like a 'cry for attention' to me. I doubt anyone is _______ enough to buy it at that price.
Rick Dangerous
What's the fair market price these days? Looking to track down a copy myself at some point.

7800fan
I thought Eric was planning only cart run, no more box or anything at all? Maybe $150 top for the set with the box? Zaku has been hitting that mark on eBay and there are a few hundreds Zaku vs I think only 20 deluxe EotB and 60 cart only EotB
Rick Dangerous
A cart run is good enough for me A manual would be nice...but at long as one makes it up on AA in PDF i'm all set.
+MacRorie
I am anxiously awaiting a cart run for this and Relief Pitcher and Hot Dog. I would *really* like for me to be able to give someone my money for these. . . . .well, an amount of money DEFINITELY VERY south of 10k. Antarctica south of that figure. (okay Tierra del Fuego south, perhaps)

82-T/A
Damn... I sold my Lynx and all the games when the Lynx died a few years ago. I hadn't even thought about the system. I didn't know they had Double Dragon, or Eye of the Beholder on the system... that is so cool?! I assume Eye of the Beholder is a home-brew / aftermarket release... I can't imagine they would sell a cartridge with a massive EPROM soldered to the side of it... hahah... Bet it's pretty cool.
Shawn Jefferson
EotB was actually a prototype game created back when the Lynx was still supported, but never saw release. There were some (not sure how many) original prototypes (this isn't one as far as I know) that were being traded around, and then cloned in small runs and sold. EricDeeLee made a larger, cheaper run a couple of years ago and quite a few people got that version. I believe the original prototype had a battery backed RAM for game save! PS. Anyone feel free to correct me where I'm wrong about any of this. Edited June 5, 2015 by Shawn Jefferson

Anyone feel free to correct me where I'm wrong about any of this. Atari created some special chip that contained the ram. If I remember correctly this part was impossible to get which made duplication kind of hard. In the version made by Eric there seems to be some kind of modern 16k storage chip. At least there is no battery on my copy of EOTB and the saves work perfectly. A lovely piece of computer archeology. PS. my copy is not for sale.
7800fan
Precious.. LOL. Someone already used that term on his EotB cart a few years ago. As for that save feature, my EotB has 28c64 which is a 64Kbit (8KB) EEPROM. I wonder if I should sell my EotB copy for oh say $1,000 and advertise 90% cheaper than other seller!!! There's bound to be rich collector who would quickly blow money without researching and finding out Eric is planning another production soon.
mvirtuale
I could spend 400 € for this game. But given that other copies will be released, I hope to pay much less. for 900 € should be translated into Italian. The Handbook in Italian. Edited June 6, 2015 by mvirtuale
Andromeda Stardust
How many of these carts were in the original run? My Lynx is dead sadly. Black screen of death...

I assume that someone changed this to work with EEPROMs. As a matter of fact I can think of exactly one person here at AtariAge who would have the skills and energy to do it. GadgetUK
Yes, Sage modified it - probably in 2 minutes with one hand behind his back and blindfolded! : o ) Edited June 6, 2015 by GadgetUK
82-T/A
That's pretty cool. Black screen of death, yeah... had the same thing on my Lynx, so I gave my entire collection away rather than mess with it.

GadgetUK
There have been a couple of other runs as well - my guess is there are at least 150 copies out there somewhere.

108 Stars
ebay auction is about to end. I sent my offer to the seller. If you do not accept, I doubt that he will sell it. If someone is really willing to sell it, you can contact me. For the price I can come to your hand, but forget $ 10,000 Don't offer him anything. The game is not worth the money. It will be produced again. And it is not official either. Nothing to make that version special compared to the new run.
Andromeda Stardust
It was $15,000 when I checked last night. For that price, the game can rot in the seller's hands for all I care. What does he think he's holding? Air Raid? NWC? Edited July 4, 2015 by stardust4ever
7800fan
Or maybe just showing off and bragging about having a rare custom CIB set? He never responded to my message about the lowest he would accept. Guess I'll stay with just one CIB I have. It would have been nice if I could get 2 so I could have spare if something happens to my box or manual.
