iesposta
I own Arcade Scramble from a cocktail table. Never saw it working. I wish it could help make 2600 Scramble. One of two games I can legally play in MAME. Nice Z80 there also.

Tangentg
Just fired this up and wow... I'm very impressed! Seems like you did an excellent job with getting everything on the screen at once and the colours! (they're so close to the arcade) I look forward to the complete version!

birdie3
Does this game do the two button Genesis controller thing or.. no?
iesposta
Does this game do the two button Genesis controller thing or.. no? Why yes, yes it does! It also has background twinkling stars like the Arcade, and a TON more tweaks and adjustments as development continued up through PRGE. All done except for the Instruction Manual I hear.

Dave Dries (who did the box artwork) is finishing up the manual. It's going to knock people's proverbial socks off. Possibly even a few literal ones.

Been playing this game for a while on my Harmony and honestly had no idea you could use dual Sega buttons! I have a cigar box with three buttons and a custom circuit that allows me to switch between 7800 and Sega pinouts. Worked like a charm! Having independent Fire buttons adds a layer of complexity to the gameplay. You can shoot more bullets than missiles, but if you forget to drop occasional missiles on the ground targets, you'll quickly run out of fuel and crash! Keatah
It's fun to "insert yourself" into a ground run low enough to use bullets only. I only wish the bullet sounds were audible with all the other stuff going on. I'm pretty sure the full-size arcade generates the sound, but you really have to listen to hear it. Make sense? You'll crash your ship into the turf pretty quick, unless you have Jedi like reflexes!
Keatah
Well, yeh, you can only do it as long as the terrain allows for such antics.

The game is 100% complete and will *hopefully* be in the store for the holidays! John has been actively developing Scramble all along - just not publicly. He's made some great improvements to it - even over what was already posted here!
+save2600
So excited for this release! Sure hope it and the other 2600/7800 games as shown in the store will be available to purchase soon. Real soon.
Andromeda Stardust
I'm still waiting on the new products to drop in the AA store. Between this and the new Pokey 7800 'brews, I'm really gonna break the bank this year...
